Author Guidelines

Only students currently enrolled in NANO*1000 are eligible to submit manuscripts to the "NANO*1000: Introduction to Nanoscience" section of da Vinci's Notebook.

Manuscripts must be submitted through the online submission system. The preferred FILE FORMAT is Microsoft Word. Rich-text files are also accepted.

The TEXT of the manuscript should be 12pt Times New Roman font, single-spaced, left-justified, with a hard return between paragraphs. REFERENCES should be in 12pt Times New Roman font, single-spaced, left-justified, with two hard returns between the end of the article and the title (References), and one hard return between entries.

Submissions should follow the American Psychological Association (APA) system of CITING and REFERENCING. In your references list, include only those works that were cited in the manuscript. Refer to the guidelines on the NANO*1000 course management site for more details pertaining to style and formatting conventions.

All article submissions are peer-reviewed. Please be careful to remove any author identification from the body of the manuscript. Also remove your name from the document's Properties, which in Microsoft Word is found in the File menu.
